Community, as it relates to a faith, looks less like a grocery store where people come to get their needs met while saying hello, and more like an expedition where we join together in the great adventure of pursuing God. Healthy community includes authenticity, relational repair, empowerment, support, and prophetic intercession of Christ being revealed through each person. We will discuss the role of communication and interpersonal relationships in community formation. We will describe several tools to help you facilitate community formation in your own context. The real life of church planting and community formation is slow, painful, and unpredictable, just like all human relationships. We hope to identify several tools that will help you be resilient in this journey.
